A Cambridge biomedical company asked us to design a conference center for their company. The room houses roughly 300 people and will be used for company meetings and parties. It can also be divided into 2 smaller rooms. So the requirements for us were to design a system that could be used as one large or as two small AV systems and could be controlled independently of each other. Wireless handheld microphones were used for presentations while tabletop mics could be used for teleconferencing in smaller settings. Audio playback could be zoned for each room and two large screen projection systems were used for video. A simple touchscreen controlled the video settings while a smaller simple keypad was used for audio settings.
